CRT Rescanning
CRT rescanning is pointing a camera at a CRT in order to capture video or still photographs. People do CRT scanning for two main reasons, 1) some glitch devices modify the video signal so much that only a CRT will display them 2) capture devices will not capture the color and vibrancy of phosphor screens. You can use your cellphone to rescan your CRT. You may need an app that adjusts exposure time to sync up with the CRTs refresh rate.

The Stinkfist Method
This is a method of syncing sound and video by Stinkfist. It is designed for analog glitch boxes in conjunction with Editing software such as DaVinci Resolve or Premier.
Step 1. Edit Your Video
Do any edits you would want to your video and sync it with sound.
Step 2. Add Timer
Use youtube to download a 5 second timer, and add it to the beginning of the video
Step 3. Add your glitches
Throw it through your glitch box, and mess it up a bit.
Step 4. Capture your glitches
Whether by capture card, rescanner, etc.
Step 5. Import to editing software, and time the sound to the video
First you want to throw in the sound of the video clip, then the clip itself. Go frame by frame to in the timer, and find the last frame of the timer. Delete that and you will align the sound to the beginning of the clip. But wait, there’s more!
Info: Layering clips
One of the advantages of this method is that you can set the video to repeat, glitch them, layer the clips, and cut between them in whatever editing suite that you choose. This can get a little complicated, and you can easily mess the whole thing up. So what can be done to ensure a decent sink, is going to a section of the video and disabling the clips down the line, to check and see if they have a proper sync with one another. If the frames are exactly the same you are fine to begin cutting the footage together.
