Introduction and Document Scope

What is the scope of this document?  What does it endeavor to cover? Who is the intended audience? How does one use the document? This document started as a resource to help new folks make Glitch Art. Glitch Art encompasses photos, video, audio, and more. This guide is heavily focused on video; which of course includes photos and audio. The Glitch Hardware Intro section aims to give folks an introduction to traditional analog video glitch art. The Software + Plug-Ins section is a list of software commonly used in Glitch Art. Including links to good tutorials, or hard to find documentation, or anything that might be useful to someone. The Video Hardware section has evolved to be a catalog of the various different Mixers, Effects units, and Utility units. It’s meant to be a reference, and not read in its entirety. 3 The Appendix has also grown in scope. It’s where some of the more technical details reside. It’s a good place to put research notes. And it’s good for looking up specific terms. As you get deeper into Glitch Art.
